Stills has worked with Grapevine Event Management for several years, and when I joined in 2021, I took over designing all of the materials needed for the several local business awards held annually. This included a rebrand of the Cardiff Business Awards in 2022 which was then followed with the creation of the Awards Group branding system for Vale of Glamorgan, Torfaen & Monmouthshire, Carmarthenshire and then more recently to include Merthyr Tydfil, Bridgend, Newport and Rhondda Cynon Taf.
Stills was responsible for updating the logomarks, colour schemes, websites and background illustrations based on local landmarks for each region, which enabled me to develop my digital drawing skills whilst completing. Specifically for each event, I create the event programme, powerpoint presentation for the night, table plan, physical banners, trophies and certificates.
I also then get the chance to attend each of the awards event, which has been a great way of improving my corporate networking skills and (dreaded) self promotion. It's also one of the only times I get to see my work physically in person on printed and digital outcomes, having taken sole responsibility of the Grapevine Events since joining Stills, and it's always a lovely feeling seeing others appreciating your work in front of you.
