The basic structure for the quarterly released Tonic Craft magazine was created by a previous colleague at Stills, but I really enjoyed taking it over for its third and fourth issues. We were provided with some great images and it was a fun problem solving exercise to rework the pages to fit the content. I also really enjoyed creating the additional illustrative elements based on the theme of each issue and playing with shapes and colours across the spreads.
I have always really enjoyed working on editorial design projects and it was great to have full license to experiment as I liked on some of the more general/introductory spreads, whilst also receiving my own printed copy of the final product.
